We are the only independently owned, mixed practice, offering 24 hour care, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, in the local area, and boast exceptional facilities.
Our team of highly skilled Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses work alongside a dedicated team of receptionists and administrators to provide a modern, professional service – whilst proudly upholding traditional values.

Priory Veterinary Group offer a repeat prescription collection service for your pets, if they are on long-term medication. Prescriptions must be checked, and prescribed by a Veterinary Surgeon before being dispensed.

Offering both traditional and keyhole neutering, Priory offer neutering for dogs, bitches, cats and rabbits. From Castration to Spaying, you can rest assured that your pet’s health and wellbeing are of the utmost importance.

We offer individual puppy clinics if you have specific concerns. Alternatively, we run a four-week, complete puppy life-skills course, which covers ‘preventative’ healthcare advice, puppy teething troubles and more.
We recommend, and work closely with chartered physiotherapists who have undergone extensive training, and are ACAPAT regulated. We also give professional advice regarding rehabilitation options for your pet
In urgent cases, if your pet is suffering, and sadly, you require a home visit, to allow them to say goodbye in the familiar surroundings of their own home, Priory Veterinary Group will do their best to accommodate you.
Priory Veterinary Group offer support and guidance throughout this difficult time. We will do everything we can to make an understandably difficult time as peaceful, dignified and stress-free for you as possible.
If you are a registered client, and are planning to take your pet abroad, book an export appointment with us. Please book well in advance to avoid delays. We provide the Animal Health Certificate you required for travel.
Our hospital in Christchurch is able to provide emergency treatment to injured, or unwell stray animals and wildlife – when accompanied by an RSPCA incident log number. Please read on, for more information.
We offer a 24 hour Emergency Vet and Out-of-Hours Service. We are proud to have our own Vets and Nurses provide this service at our Christchurch Hospital, for registered and active clients of Priory Veterinary Group.
